Dearest Friends,

As part of the Festival Extra! at the Centre Pompidou, and on the occasion of the John Giorno Poetry Day, Nathalie Guiot and the Fondation Thalie’s team are pleased to welcome you today for an event dedicated to poetry!

The voices of poets, writers, artists, from all walks of life, will resound on the theme of “The art of being fragile”. Read aloud, sometimes performed, poetry will dialogue with Caroline Achaintre’s woollen tapestries celebrating creation in all its forms.

Program:

7 p.m.: Presentation in the presence of the authors of the books published by Editions Ishtar.
Le premier jour de l’étincelle, the first collection of poems by Nathalie Guiot; Equinoxe(s), creative texts published at the end of the eleven weeks of readings aloud on the foundation’s platform; Traversée, the lockdown diary of thirty women artists.

From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Start of the poetic readings live broadcast at the Centre Pompidou.
Among our readers, Kendell Geers will read the fragility of love, Ellen Leblond-Schrader that of memory, Violaine Lochu shares the babbling, Charles Moody reads Rick Moody, Boys enter the house, and Sarah Riggs, Murmurations.

Curating: Nathalie Guiot, Barbara Polla and Pascale Barret
